I used to go feed the local swans almost every day, just because I enjoyed watching them. My husband (before I even knew him) saw social media posts of me feeding the swans, and was slightly intrigued by it. Coincidentally, on our very first date, the first thing we did was ride a swan boat. A year later, I moved in with him to Kingston upon Thames (quite literally the borough of swans). Its also known that if a swan loses its partner, it tends to not finds another, and that kind of loyalty stuck with me. Swans were never my favorite animal, but now they’re a part of me in a way!
