Three steps, no booking
Paint Your Partner is the date night where you paint each other's portrait, then try to keep a straight face at the reveal. It runs at Art Play in London, lasts around two and a half hours and costs £45 a ticket. Canvas, paints and brushes are included, and the bar is open.
How Paint Your Partner works
1. Pair up: come with a partner, a friend or a family member.
2. Paint each other: you each get a canvas, with paints and brushes provided.
3. Help on hand: guidance is there if you get stuck on a nose or an eyebrow.
4. The reveal: compare portraits at the end. It's about the fun, not the likeness.
5. No experience needed: a sense of humour helps more than talent, and all materials are included.
It suits anniversaries, first dates, best friends and anyone who has been told they have an interesting face. Drinks and snacks are available to buy at the bar.

Most couples painting classes have you both paint the same picture. Here you're each other's subject, which makes the two and a half hours go quickly and gives you a story to tell afterwards. All materials are included, so you only need to turn up.
