Three steps, no booking
Art Play is a pottery bar in London: a creative studio where the clay comes with a drinks menu. Book a hand-building class or a wheel throwing taster, or paint a piece of upcycled pottery, and order from a bar serving wine, beer, cocktails, coffee and soft drinks.
A night at the pottery bar
1. Book your session: hand-building (£32) or the wheel throwing taster at Shoreditch (£55), both 1.5 hours.
2. Order a drink: there's a bar in the studio.
3. Get your hands dirty: an instructor guides you through every step.
4. Add extras: prosecco, wine and pizza (Shoreditch only) can be added to hand-building bookings.
5. Leave with something: a hand-built piece, or a glazed pot from the wheel 4 weeks later.
It's a night out with a result. Come after work, bring a date or meet friends: classes are beginner-friendly and nobody expects a perfect pot. Please drink responsibly.

Art Play has two studios. Shoreditch, at 3 Norton Folgate, E1 6DB, is close to Liverpool Street and home to our pottery wheels. Chelsea, at 5 Chelsea Manor Street, SW3 3TW, is near Sloane Square. Check the venue shown on each class date.
Birthdays, hens and work drinks
For groups of 8 or more, private hand-building classes start at £28 per person, and either studio can be hired for a full evening. It's a ready-made plan for birthdays, hen parties and team socials.
