art bar in london
Three steps, no booking
Try Valentine's Day art activities in London that are fun whether or not you can draw. At Art Play you can paint each other's portraits, pour paint into an abstract canvas, or pick up a brush and paint side by side with no brief at all. Materials are included and there's a bar at both studios.
Art activities for two
1. Paint Your Partner: portraits of each other, around 2.5 hours, tickets £45.
2. Sip and Pour: acrylic pouring for people who say they can't paint. 1.5 hours, £55.
3. FreeFlow: paint whatever you like on canvas for up to two hours, from £16.
4. Sip & Paint: follow an artist step by step. Two hours, £38.
5. Paint a Bear: a 23cm bear to paint with brushes, £22, for something a bit different.
FreeFlow and Paint a Bear are unguided and can be booked or walked into, which makes them an easy last-minute plan. Guided classes run on set dates and are booked online.

No art skills? No problem
None of these activities expect you to be good. Acrylic pouring relies on the paint doing the work, Sip & Paint is guided step by step, and Paint Your Partner is funnier the less it looks like them.
Art activities with friends and family
Valentine's doesn't have to mean couples. FreeFlow painting welcomes children with an adult, and groups of friends can book the same class. For 8 or more, private workshops are available.
Shoreditch and Chelsea studios
Art Play Shoreditch is close to Liverpool Street at 3 Norton Folgate, E1 6DB. Art Play Chelsea is near Sloane Square at 5 Chelsea Manor Street, SW3 3TW. Both have a bar. Check the venue on your chosen date.
