Paint Against Genocide - Fundraiser
Sunday, 12 October Create art, and give support to a major cause!
Service Description
Join us for a meaningful Sober Sip & Paint event at Art Play in Shoreditch, supporting Taawon, an organization that empowers Palestinians through education, culture, and community rebuilding—helping families not only survive the crisis but also preserve hope for the future. We’re supporting Taawon because they focus on addressing the root causes of the crisis and promoting long-term peace and resilience in Gaza. 100% of ticket sales will be donated directly to them to help alleviate the devastating humanitarian situation. Families in Gaza are caught in a catastrophic scenario—facing famine, bombings, hypothermia, and disease. It is the most dangerous place in the world to be a child. Meanwhile, violence in the West Bank is escalating, forcing more people to flee their homes than at any time since 1967. This special "Paint Against Genocide" event offers a creative platform to stand against brutality and promote peace through art. Under the guidance of our talented artist, participants will embark on a step-by-step journey through a painting, discovering various techniques along the way. While ample instruction will be provided, attendees are encouraged to inject their own unique flair into their creations. No prior experience is necessary—this session is perfect for beginners. Participants will work with acrylic paints on canvas, with all materials supplied. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, we kindly ask attendees to arrive on time—late arrivals exceeding 10 minutes will be turned away to prevent disruption. Enjoy a non-alcoholic drink upon arrival, with snacks, pizza, and additional drinks available for purchase from our bar. A bag is included to take home your finished artwork. *Remember, 100% of ticket sales will be donated directly to Taawon.* Let’s come together to make a difference—paint for peace. Paint against genocide. Please treat our staff with respect and drink responsibly. Art Play London reserves the right to refuse entry if necessary to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
