What is Art Play?Art Play is an art bar where you can enjoy activities like sip and paint, pottery, candle making, silver ring workshops, and free-flow painting. We offer a range of creative experiences for all interests!

Where is Art Play located?We’re in Old Spitalfields Market at THE MARKET, Art Play, Old Spitalfields Market, 16 Horner Square, London E1 6EW INSIDE, London E1 6EW. You can find us in the middle of the market between Lululemon and The Real Greek.

Are children allowed in the sessions?Yes, children under 14 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. We do not assume responsibility for unattended children.

Is your venue accessible?Yes, our venue has ground-floor access and a disabled toilet. Please inform us in advance so we can accommodate any additional needs.

Is there parking available?There’s ample street parking nearby, but public transport is often easier. We’re also close to several stations including Aldgate East, Liverpool Street and Shoreditch High Street.

What are the age restrictions?Age restrictions vary by workshop. ID is required for alcohol, and on Fridays and Saturdays after 7 pm the venue is strictly 18+.

Can I bring my dog?Well-behaved dogs are welcome but may need to leave if they cause a disturbance. If you have concerns about staff dogs, please inform us so we can accommodate them.

Do you offer walk ins?Yes you can walk in for free flow, and some classes however you run the risk of not having space on our busy days, its always best to book in advance.

Can you fire and glaze the pottery?We currently don’t offer firing and glazing, but we plan to in the near future. Keep an eye out for updates!

Do you have pottery wheels?No, we use air clay for hand-building techniques instead of pottery wheels.

Do you have activities for kids?Yes! We have activities during school holidays and year-round workshops for kids. They’re also welcome anytime for free-flow, unguided painting.

What is included in the "FreeFlow" session?FreeFlow is an unguided freestyle painting session, priced from £5. All materials are provided.

What are the prices for public workshops?Public workshops start at £25, with options for various creative activities.

Do you offer food and drink options?Yes, a menu includes coffee, pizza, and cocktails to enjoy during workshops.

What’s the policy on alcohol consumption?Enjoy responsibly. If you’re intoxicated and disrupt the environment, you may be asked to leave.

What should I wear?Aprons are provided, but we’re not responsible for damage to your personal clothing. It’s best to wear something you’re comfortable in for creative activities.

Can I host a private event or rent the venue?Yes, the venue is available for private and corporate events with flexible options.

What types of corporate events can you accommodate?Art Play London provides custom corporate workshops and space rental for team-building and special events.

Can I collect my artwork later?Yes, a fee of £3 applies to store artwork up to 7 days. Acrylic pour and mosaic pieces can be collected within 2 weeks, while candles, pottery, and marbling items should be collected within 7 days. After that, unclaimed items may be upcycled, sold, or given away.

Can we stay after the class to hang out?If there are no reservations immediately after your session, you’re welcome to stay. Feel free to check with us when you arrive.

What types of memberships are offered?Art Play London offers memberships catering to all skill levels, providing access to workshops and a creative space for weekly visits.

Can I give an Art Play London workshop as a gift?Yes, gift cards are available for purchase on the website.

How do I access my booked class timetable?The timetable is accessible online through the booking section.

How can I reschedule?If you're within the cancellation window stated in our Terms and Conditions, you can cancel or reschedule through your profile under "Manage My Bookings." If you're having trouble, please email info@artplaylondon.co.uk for assistance. If you've missed the cancellation window, rescheduling is unlikely as classes are pre-paid to secure the space and teacher. We’re a bit more flexible with Freeflow sessions since they don’t involve a teacher, but we still ask for at least 24 hours' notice. Unfortunately, if you contact us after your session has started, we won’t be able to offer a refund or reschedule.

Can I get a refund after booking?Refunds are available within the first 10 minutes of booking for public sessions, including pre-ordered food. For private sessions, cancellations 7 days prior qualify for a refund of the deposit, which is 50% of the booking. No refunds are available if the cancellation is within 7 days of the session.

Can I reschedule my booking?For public workshops, rescheduling is allowed up to 72 hours before the start time. Free-flow sessions can be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance. For private sessions, rescheduling is possible with a £100 fee if requested at least 7 days in advance.

Is there a cancellation policy for booked workshops?Art Play’s refund and cancellation policies are detailed on our website for both public and private bookings.

If someone in my group doesn’t show up, can I use those funds for food or drink?Unfortunately, funds from workshop bookings can’t be transferred to cover food or drinks.

I'm running late for FreeFlow can is that okay?For Freeflow sessions, late arrivals are fine as long as you're okay with finishing at your scheduled end time. Sometimes, you may be able to stay for the full two hours or longer if the space isn't needed for another booking or event before closing. For all other workshops, you cannot arrive more than 10 minutes late.

What happens if I’m late to a session?If you’re more than 10 minutes late, you won’t be allowed entry, and no refunds or rescheduling will be offered.

How can I pre-order food for my booking?Send your pre-order to info@artplaylondon.co.uk at least 48 hours before your class to ensure smooth service.

Can I order food and drinks on the day?Yes, food and drinks can be ordered upon arrival. If you’re ordering 4 or more pizzas, we recommend pre-ordering to avoid delays.

Can I set up a bar tab?Yes, you can arrange a bar tab with our staff when you arrive.

Is outside food and drink allowed?No, outside food and drink are prohibited. A selection of refreshments and food is available at our bar.

Do you sell art supplies?Yes, the online shop offers items like paint sets, mugs, and branded merchandise.

Do you have a privacy policy?Yes, we protect customer data per data protection laws, and information is not shared outside Art Play London.

Will I be photographed or recorded during sessions?We may take photographs or videos for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be included, please inform a staff member.
