Art Play has been delighting East Londoners from its Shoreditch home for years and with 4.9★ on Google, they know what works. A workshop space that is so much more, they’re now coming to Chelsea offering mindful (and fun) sessions. The concept is simple and the vibe is anything but stuffy: walk in, pick up a brush, order a cocktail or a coffee, and leave with something you actually made yourself. No experience required.
What’s On at Art Play Chelsea
The Chelsea studio offers the full Art Play roster of workshops: guided Sip & Paint classes, hand-building Pottery sessions (make it, come back to paint it), Candle Making, and drop-in FreeFlow painting whenever the mood strikes. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the space transforms into a Vibe & Paint party night complete with a DJ - loud fun, zero pretension.
Something for Everyone
Date Night & Girls’ Night Out. Tired of dinner-then-drinks? A sip-and-paint session is the date night that actually gives you something to talk about … and something to take home. For a girls’ night, there’s nothing better than a private workshop with your group, a few cocktails, and a canvas that proves you’re all secretly talented.
A Sober Night Out Without the Awkwardness. Art Play is fully stocked with cocktails, mocktails, coffee, and soft drinks. You can choose to sip wine while you paint, or opt for a beautifully crafted alcohol-free drink (no one will know or care either way). It’s a night out built around creativity, not rounds.
Family Fun. Art Play runs dedicated kids’ workshops for ages 4+, as well as family-friendly sessions where parents and little ones can create side by side. It’s a genuinely easy weekend plan that results in fridge-worthy art.
Dog Friendly. Yes, really. Your four-legged plus-one is welcome at Art Play Chelsea. It may be the only studio in SW3 that rolls out the welcome mat for both artists and their dogs.

Founded in Shoreditch, the brand is trusted by teams at Disney, Google, Bloomberg, TikTok and Dr. Martens for corporate events and team-building.
