The contrast of the light and the dark coming together represents two halves that make us whole. Embracing your light that can still show up in moments of darkness, but also not judging the darkness that may at times block out the light like a shadow. Not feeling ashamed of the darkness that also lives within because it can also be seen as beautiful. The red that I added once I got home represents the painful wounds that surround us and we carry around with us every day.
